专辑简介
在数百名学生、教职员工的通力合作下,宾夕法尼亚州立大学伍兹音乐节管弦乐团、马里兰大学管乐团和宾夕法尼亚州立大学管乐团与李·欣克尔共同演奏了三位美国现代作曲家的打击乐协奏曲。欣克尔在莫里斯·赖特(Maurice Wright)的《马林巴与管弦乐队协奏曲》(Concertpiece for Marimba and Orchestra)中运用了与埃文·齐波林(Evan Ziporyn)的《脉冲控制》(Impulse Control)同样活泼的中央鼓,同时还为史蒂文·斯塔基(Steven Stucky)的《打击乐与管弦乐队协奏曲》(Concerterto for Percussion and Wind Orchestra)中丰富的独奏乐器所营造的庄严颂歌留出了空间。无论是马林巴琴、架子鼓,还是任何打击乐器,欣克尔都能在历时七年的不朽音乐事业中独放异彩,最终汇聚成《现代美国打击乐协奏曲》(MODERN AMERICAN PERCUSSION CONCERTI)。该项目由宾夕法尼亚州立艺术与建筑学院的学院研究基金支持。
