专辑简介
Having being familiar with Wagner\’s music for many years and being an admirer of Claudio Abbado\’s conducting, I was tempted to purchase this CD purely because of Abbado. I am pleased to say that I was not disappointed with this offering, far from it, I absolutely loved it. The Suites from Tannhauser; Parsifal and Tristan und Isolde are beautifully played, and the recording is pretty good too. I know many Wagnerians complain about \”bleedin chunks\” but occasionally, they do work, and this is a fine example. Abbado encourages a lot of beautiful playing from the Berlin Philharmonic, the music is never rushed, just simply plays itself. One of the best buys of the year.
