从莎士比亚(William Shakespeare)笔下对年迈骑士福斯塔夫(Falstaff)的辛辣讽刺,到受爱伦・坡(Edgar Allan Poe)启发而作的存在主义沉思《钟声》,这两部 “文学性” 乐曲都将浪漫主义的余韵戏剧性地延续到了极致。无垠的宇宙。通过这两首歌小试牛刀之后,饭卡在《钟之叹息》里彻底释放了 rapper 本色。他追随自己钟爱的 Native Tongues,信手织出灵动的 jazzy beats,把呼吸融进 flow,在节拍边缘游走。客座 rapper 福来以“时间就是一个圈套”一锤定音,让这首从过生日出发反思时间与生命的曲子,笼罩更朦胧的哲思光晕。《沙漠应激反应》采用了罕见的四段式结构,四套暗示场景转换的编曲对应仙人掌的四季独白。这首歌也可谓是一封献给 R&B 的情书,歌中那句“不再需要爱”的唱法不禁让我们想起方大同的《爱爱爱》,结尾处更是致敬了 Stevie Wonder 的《Isn\’t She Lovely》。整张专辑不乏对当代生活方式的评论,却摈除了灌输式的说教,而是以松弛的律动、诚恳的态度,热情拥抱了仙人掌赖以生存的阳光雨露。
