专辑简介
From the label’s site: In this album, the two renowned singers, Nuria Rial and Jan Börner present a very carefully compiled selection of beautiful music. Songs and duets from different composers of the 17th century join together to a “love drama” in three acts, and each is introduced or commented on by a sort of overture.
The first act begins with the first fresh love of the two protagonists, which must, however, soon make the place to the first doubts and jealousy.
In the lamenting second act, the two solo voices face each other in desperation, with Johann Philipp Krieger‘s “Einsamkeit” as the absolute emotional low as well as the dramatic high point, complemented by Johann Heinrich Schmelzer‘s lament.
Hope and confidence blossom in the third act. Will the two sufferers and lovers find together at last? The “Liebesgespräch” by Adam Krieger reveals the answer. Once again happily united, the third act builds up to the final duet, “Wenn Liebe und Glück sich vergatten”, of which the introductory words grant themselves as the album’s name
